Hood are a band that ramble. Typically their music crosses rock, jazz, classical and electronica genres whilst always coming home to earlier and later Talk Talk or A R Kane. This track is taken from their new album Outside Closer.

Like the majority of their music, L. Fading Hills doesn’t grab you immediately. Instead it piques your interest, “look, a melody”, then the rest of the track shuffles around it, punching its way out of its own paper bag. And, when it has reached the end you’re not sure quite what you listened too, but you know it’s vital that you hear it again sometime.

I tried to do our company accounts whilst listening to Outside Closer and failed miserably. It’s simply too engaging to do anything else at the same time.
