Panic
Searching for all file names with ‘jml’ in them yesterday evening. Finder starts running very slowly. Plenty of beachball action. Manage to persuade the Spotlight search to stop. Then sleep my Mac.
Wake it up this morning. Blue screen. Nothing else. Go and reboot.
Plenty of whirring later, Mac boots up. Try to login. Sorry ‘you cannot login at this time’. Wait. Wait some more. Try again. This time I get in.
Start up JEdit. No content in any of the files I’d opened! Close JEdit.
Try starting Apache2. Apache2 fails. Cannot find any of my DocumentRoot’s.
Panic. Big time.
Wait a bit.
Start JEdit again. Can it find my files now? Yes. Phew.
Start Apache2 again. Okay this time.
Spooky.
