Very Punk and Very Old
The Who’s Roger Daltrey doesn’t want The Who to transmit live webcases of their world tour because he’s not sure “the web has any real contribution to make to our career”. Pete Townshend, who knows a lot about the web, thinks different.
The Rolling Stones’ Paris gig is available to hear over the telephone. In seven minute chunks at $1.99 per chunk. That’s right, to hear the entire concert you’ll need to phone in about 20 times.
Apparently, the chunking – which will be interrupted in the sixth minute by an announcement that time is up – is to stop bootlegging.
