Kristin Hersh: Slippershell (Sleepershell Remix)

Northsea’s remix takes Slippershell’s vocals and bells then scatters gentle nuzzlings of IDM over them like a winter’s snow shower. Part of the recently launched KristinHersh-RW section of CASH Music.

I’ve put this on endless loop as I write about John the Baptists misplaced messianic expetations and faith in the face of ambivilance. I really enjoy the fusion of Hersh’s typical brilliance with the flow of electronic ambience. Good job. Thanks for helping to create in the words of T.S. Elliot

Then came, at a predetermined moment, a moment in time and of time,
a moment not out of time, but in time, in what we call
history: transecting, bisecting the world of time,
a moment in time but not like a moment of time,
a moment in time but time was made through that moment:
for without the meaning there is no time, and that
moment of time gave the meaning.
T.S. Eliot, “Choruses from the Rock,” VII
